Filter by the other languages your tutor speaks (Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, Arabic, or Turkish, among others) so you always have a fallback when you get stuck. 2. Book your first English lesson

How long does it take to learn English?
Learning English is a gradual process, and how long it takes depends on where you're starting from. Based on Cambridge English's guided learning hours framework, reaching a conversational level (B1) typically takes 350 to 400 hours of guided study, while reaching an advanced, near-fluent level (C1) takes 700 to 800 hours. How do you choose an online English tutor?
