Hello!

I entered the teaching profession due to a belief that I could make a difference to the lives of students by promoting a professional, secure classroom environment in which each person could achieve his or her maximum potential. The most effective learning is a fun thing to do and we will have a great time learning to enjoy English together! I have experience of raising my own children (three of which have had special educational needs involving dyslexia, dyspraxia and “gifted and talented”) and of dealing with children of varying ages and abilities via music and sport.

In addition to teaching English, I am a musician and musical instrument teacher. I teach the Guitar, Bass Guitar, Double Bass, Ukulele, Banjo and Mandolin and other instruments by request. I have experience of raising my own children (three of which have had special educational needs involving dyslexia, dyspraxia and “gifted and talented”) and of dealing with children of varying ages and abilities via music and sport. I consider myself to be a highly organised, experienced, hard working person. I am always polite and punctual. I maintain excellent classroom management by using a range of techniques including agreed ground rules, praise, reward and merit systems, I have a very keen sense of humour, and believe that I provide a good blend of humour and discipline which helps to create a safe and positive learning environment for the students in my care.
