2. Book your first English lesson

In your first lesson, you and your tutor talk through your goals and current level, so your learning is personalized from the start. How long does it take to learn English?
Learning English is a gradual process, and how long it takes depends on where you're starting from. Based on Cambridge English's guided learning hours framework, reaching a conversational level (B1) typically takes 350 to 400 hours of guided study, while reaching an advanced, near-fluent level (C1) takes 700 to 800 hours. How do you choose an online English tutor?
