Hello! My name is Ashley and it's so nice to meet you! I'm 31 years old and have been teaching English for over 10 years, 8 of which have been dedicated to English as a Second Language. I currently live and teach in Japan, which gives me a unique insight into the challenges and joys of language learning! My lessons are warm, fun, and tailored to your individual needs and goals. I specialize in teaching young learners and offer unique Minecraft based English lessons, perfect for kids who love gaming and want to make learning English an adventure! I'm originally from New York City 🗽 and currently living the adventure of a lifetime in Tokyo, Japan! Living abroad has given me a deep appreciation for language learning and the courage it takes to communicate in a new language, which makes me a more empathetic and patient teacher. Outside of teaching I'm a creative soul at heart, I love reading, writing, drawing, cooking, and gaming! I try to challenge myself with a new recipe every week, and when I'm not in the kitchen you'll probably find me exploring new worlds in my favorite games. Minecraft holds a special place in my heart, which is why I've made it a core part of how I teach English to young learners. I believe learning should be joyful, creative, and personal.
