Yomee
Hello!
Hello! My name is Yomee and I am from California. I have taught as an elementary teacher for 2 years and have been working in a variety of classrooms for the past 4 years before I began teaching. I received my Master's in Teaching and Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco. My passion for education led me to study Child Development in Copenhagen, where I served as a Special Needs and Elementary School Pedagogue Aide. During this time, I had the incredible opportunity to observe various teaching styles in Helsinki, Finland, and London, England. I love working with people and helping others, including adults! In my teaching philosophy, I place you, the student, at the center. I understand how important engagement is to learning and that is why my lessons are catered to your interests and needs. One of my strengths is assessing and differentiating to ones learning needs. I look forward to supporting you in your learning journey! Please reach out with any questions you may have.
I LOVE traveling, learning and experiencing new cultures, understanding different ways of living and especially trying new food! I have been to 21 countries and counting, in the continents of North America, Asia, and Europe. I also love dancing, hiking, cooking, and playing tennis. I've always loved animals and growing up, I've had snakes, cats, dogs, mice, fishes, lizards, and a parrot.

My focus is getting to know and learn about you, your interests and your learning needs. I am patient and always here to answer your questions. I strive to aways create fun and engaging lessons where you feel comfortable to be yourself and not be afraid of making mistakes. (We celebrate mistakes because they help us learn!) In our lessons we can do anything from practicing everyday conversations on various topics to reading articles, newspapers or watch short videos and discussing them or even playing games and practicing correct punctuation; you name it!
