Hello, I'm Joanna from England, currently living in Virginia, USA after previously living on the beautiful island of Crete, in Greece 2020-2024. I have experience teaching English in Japan and France. I speak good conversational French and currently learning Spanish and Greek. I love travelling and learning about different cultures. I am a Theatre Studies graduate from The University of Surrey, UK. My background is in theatre, teaching and sales management. I am currently in USA 🇺🇸 travelling
I am a mother of 2 boys, 26 and 28, both settled in USA. My oldest son is a medical student and my youngest son, a Quantitative Analytical Data Scientist. I lived on the island of Crete for four years and before this I lived in the following countries; England, America, Japan, Singapore, France, Mallorca, Rhodes, Luxembourg, Ireland and Dubai. My hobbies are varied and include; music, travelling, swimming, reading and cycling. I am interested in different cultures, learning new languages and I also campaign against animal cruelty.

Whether you want to develop better English for your job/business or to acheive fluency for travelling, I can help you. I have native English accent, but spent several years in USA, so am able to help with differences between US/British English as a language and also cultural differences. We will spend the first lesson discovering your goals and your motivation to learn English. I want you to succeed and to enjoy learning English with me.
