Hi! I’m Carra. I’m a Cambly tutor from Florida, USA. I am a conversation and guided learning tutor. I understand that we all learn differently. I want to help you improve your English skills and your confidence! I have lived in Germany (I studied German while I was there). And I am currently learning Spanish. I recently fell in love with Mexico! I am preparing to move there. People often ask me if I am afraid to go live in a foreign country, and I answer: No! I lived in Germany and I really enjoyed making friends, learning about the culture, and trying all the wonderful foods. Now I am looking forward to doing the same in Mexico. Besides traveling, I enjoy bike riding, walking, cooking, gardening, and playing with my cat (Rascal). I used to raise chickens - they are smarter than you may realize! : ) My favorite type of plants to grow are edible plants. I have learned a lot about edible plants in Florida and many of the same plants grow in Mexico. I am looking forward to starting a small garden! I have worked in the dental field for over thirty years. First as a dental assistant, orthodontic assistant and then as a dental hygienist. If you have questions about your teeth or want to learn any dental terms let me know. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, either going to explore something new or just hanging out together. I enjoy watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and The Office (USA version more than UK). I also enjoy action adventure and romantic comedies.

I offer a conversation and guided learning environment. The best way to improve your English skills and confidence is to practice. I am a flexible, patient and kind tutor who enjoys creating a relaxed setting where you can feel comfortable to practice. I offer sessions for beginners to intermediate students where you will be able to improve your speaking and pronunciation, listening, understanding, and grammar skills in English. When I lived in Germany I had the opportunity to help my neighbors with their English skills. Then back in the USA I had a co-worker from Viet Nam who I helped with her English. Currently, my co-workers and I help each other (English and Spanish). Since I have lived in another country, and plan to go to Mexico soon, I understand the importance of learning another language and having a native speaker to practice with. I have been the foreign language student, a Sunday school teacher, and English language tutor. All this experience gives me a greater depth of understanding to help you.
