Hello there! My name is Oriana, I am from Canada and am an english tutor with Cambly! I am very friendly and talkative and love to meet new people. I am passionate about languages, and sharing my love for them. I know learning a language can be difficult, but it can also be amazing and open your world! I have experience teaching English and am excited about sharing my knowledge, so I hope to share it with you!
I am a friendly and talkative person who loves to meet new people. I love to travel and have travelled in South America, the USA, Italy, France, and South Korea. I love to read, watch movies, appreciate art and culture, and knit. I am also a big hiker and love nature. I studied philosophy so I am very interested in big questions about our world!

Learning a new language is unique to each person, so I believe in personalizing my teaching for what you need and how you learn. This means I am flexible, but I think it is important to focus on practical learning. I will try to teach you how to understand real English, using the language the way native speakers do, is what I try to focus on. I try to do this through conversations about common situations that you would find yourself in while travelling in or living in an English-speaking country. It can be scary trying to practice speaking, but it is invaluable experience and practice! I will not over-correct you because I want you to feel a flow and speak naturally, but I will correct where you can do better. I am friendly, open and encouraging and want you to feel safe and comfortable talking with me!
