Louie

Hello!

Hi! My name is Louis (pronounced Louie), I'm an English teacher, official Cambridge examiner and translator currently living in Spain! I work at Kids&Us where I teach 8-12 year olds. I also have a great deal of experience teaching teenagers and adults. =) I love languages and traveling and have thus far lived in 6 countries. Born in Connecticut, USA, I have also lived in the UK, Hungary, the Netherlands, France and Spain. I am TEFL certified and have my MA from Newcastle University :)

I was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. I studied my BA in Spanish and French languages at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. During my undergrad I spent a year abroad in Madrid and in Aix-en-Provence. After I graduated I pursued my MA in professional translating for European languages at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in England and then moved back to Spain where I earned several TEFL certifications including for teaching adults, children and business English. I'm half Hungarian and moved to the town my grandfather grew up in and taught at Miskolc public schools for 4 years. After the pandemic I moved back to Spain and am teaching and translating here. I'm a big fan of rock, metal and pop. I love biking, hiking, karaoke and my pet cat and rabbit. I have two countries on my bucket list; Japan and New Zealand. :)
