Marla
Hello!
Hello, My name is Marla and I'm looking forward to tutoring you in conversational English. I'd enjoy teaching students who would like to apply their English skills in a variety of settings, such as school, work, or in your everyday life. I have been a Special Education teacher for fifteen years in the United States. Although I retired this year I hope to continue sharing my love of teaching as a tutor. I strongly believe that learning can be fun and enjoyable when its student centered and presented in an engaging and interactive way.
I currently live in the state of North Carolina in the United States. I am originally from Illinois and lived in Fort Myers Florida for 17 years.I taught students with special needs at the elementary level for many, many years. I thoroughly enjoyed my teaching career and still keep in touch with my students. I also had the pleasure of working as a Vocational Manager for adults with disabilities in supporting them in finding fulfilling jobs. I ;love baseball and hockey, especially the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Blackhawks. I enjoy a good true crime or mystery movie as well as reading a detective book. I love animals and have two dogs, I like relaxing at the beach and spending time with my friends and family. I've traveled throughout the United States and Canada.I would love to visit other countries with my family or friends.
