Hello!

Hi - my name is Helen, I am a mature English lady with a very young outlook. I am patient and kind and like to treat people in a way that I expect to be treated, that is with respect and empathy. My accent is quite neutral "middle England", I will speak clearly and articulately to help you understand. Everyone learns in different ways and at different speeds and each language has its own difficulties that make some words hard to pronounce. I am very aware of this from my experience as a language teacher and will do my best to help you to gain confidence and not to be afraid to make mistakes. I have also been a houseparent of a boarding school for international students, so I am aware of other cultures and language barriers 😀

I love to travel to new places. The UK has very beautiful places to visit but I dislike our winters intensely so I am always looking for somewhere warm to spend my winters. The Canary Islands are my favourite for sunshine 🌞 I enjoy going to the cinema eating out and going to the theatre too. I recently saw the new Mission Impossible film and also want to see Barbie. I like walking every day to keep fit. I have a little chihuahua called Buddy but he doesn't walk far! I also love quizzes, puzzles, crosswords and Wordle. I go twice a week to join 2 different pub teams. I am therefore always trying to learn new facts!
