Hi, my name is Patrick, and I am delighted to introduce myself as an English tutor with a passion for language and a diverse background in media, writing, and education. Over the years, I have honed my skills as a magazine editor, media consultant, and a TV and radio presenter. Now, as a Cambly teacher, I find immense joy in sharing my love for the English language and helping people from all around the world improve their language skills. My journey in the world of media and communication began as a newspaper and magazine journalist, where I had the opportunity to work with words, language, and storytelling. This experience allowed me to develop a keen eye for detail and a strong command of written English. Later, as a media consultant, I collaborated with various organizations and personalities, helping them improve their communication and marketing strategies and ensure clarity and effectiveness in their messages. My time as a TV and radio presenter was a remarkable chapter in my life. It not only improved my public speaking skills but also allowed me to connect with a huge variety of people (listeners, viewers and people that I interviewed). Presenting on TV and radio helped me appreciate the importance of effective language use in reaching people from different cultures and backgrounds. Beyond my work in the media industry, I have indulged in my passion for writing. I have authored two fiction novels, delving into the creative realms of storytelling and imagination. Additionally, I have published several books on business, finance and health and wellbeing (one of my passions), showcasing my versatility as a writer and my ability to adapt my language to different genres and topics. When not writing or working with communication, I love science fiction (I’m a huge Star Trek fan), I’m passionate about health and fitness, technology (including A.I) mindfulness and gaming.. As an English teacher on Cambly, I have found a platform that aligns perfectly with my desire to share my knowledge and passion for the English language with learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
