With 48 years of teaching experience under my belt, I might be what you'd call a "wise old man," but don't let that fool you! I'm healthy, cheerful, and I don't miss lessons unless I have technical problems (which sometimes happen). My secret? I genuinely love what I do, and I love helping students like you discover that speaking English can be enjoyable and natural.
A Little About Me: I'm a native speaker from Seattle, USA, but Tokyo has been my home for many years. This means I deeply understand the unique challenges Japanese learners face when speaking English – and more importantly, I know exactly how to help you overcome them. My students often tell me that I explain things clearly and make even complex grammar points easy to grasp. When I'm not teaching, you'll find me gardening, crafting pottery, sewing hats and bags, enjoying classic rock music, or designing T-shirts on Amazon. I also love a good U.S. TV drama!
