Hello!

My name is Nick, and I'm a 31 year-old, TEFL-certified English tutor from the USA. I have a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and previously worked for 8 years as an engineer in manufacturing of medical devices. Now, I'm committed to helping students from around the world improve their English skills and be successful. I prefer to teach students who have at least an intermediate English level and don't accept students who are beginners. Using my professional background, I focus on teaching English for engineering, technology, and business professionals. I work with students on interview preparation, resume writing, Cambly courses, but can also practice general conversation as well. If you are interested in having a lesson, please include a message with your request including your current English level and language goals.

I currently live in southern Thailand. After travelling to over 20 countries, I found this is my favorite place in world! When I'm teaching, I have a relaxed and patient personality that allows my students to feel comfortable. When I'm not teaching, I love going to the beach, trying new restaurants, or exercising. Some of my hobbies are playing guitar and writing music, photography, cars, and cooking. I previously worked as an engineer for multiple medical device manufacturing companies. My roles included project management and process engineering, developing products such a surgical robotic tools, multi-use laparoscopic devices, and artificial skin. I am familiar with different methods of manufacturing, including machining, laser fabrication, and plastic molding. I've also worked as a software test engineer for a Naval defense contractor, so have some knowledge of software as well. During my career, I also gained experience reviewing CVs and interviewing job applicants, so I really enjoy helping students with this.
