Hello!
Hello, my name is William. I have an undergraduate degree in History and a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing. I have been tutoring middle school, high school, and college students for the past twelve years in a variety of subjects ranging from math and science to history and literature, though writing and language are my favorite subjects to tutor. I have also been a Cambly tutor since 2023. For me, the most rewarding part of working with students on any subject and at any level is getting to know new people and perspectives in addition to helping them achieve their educational goals. When working with students, I am always very patient, open-minded, and generous with my time.
In addition to working as a full-time tutor, I also enjoy reading and writing poetry. I have published a couple books of poems with a small press in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I live. I also dabble a little bit in painting and making music with a few of my friends.

I always strive to create a comfortable atmosphere for students in which they can feel safe putting themselves out there and making mistakes that they can ultimately learn from. I believe that learning through trial and error is the most effective way to improve one's skills in any field of study, especially language. Students can expect a friendly environment in which they can work to gain a better grasp on the English language, regardless of their skill level, through conversations that are designed to help them navigate specific situations as well as improve their grammar and vocabulary.
