Andrew
Hello!
Hello, My name’s Andrew. I enjoy working with motivated, adult students from around the world. Whether it’s lessons supporting your profession, interests of study, IELTS or TOEFL exams, or even job interview preparation, I can quickly focus our time on your interests and objectives. Regarding my formal teaching (classroom) experience; I have completed two TEFL certifications, and have 10 years as a full-time English teacher in Europe, both in Prague, CZ, and Valencia, ES. During my time in the classroom, I was promoted to Director at one school and was offered Asst. Director at my second. I have developed curriculum and had the pleasure of teaching Cambridge Proficiency- and all of my students passed their exams. This, coupled with my years in business and Real Estate has led me to specialize in International Business English and Communication. Working with Cambly has allowed me the opportunity to help doctors, lawyers, and even CEOs who have had to make presentations in English, both in their own countries and at conventions in the United States. Finally: I do write for national marketing firms and am a Google-certified SEO (I have optimized lead web pages for billion-dollar law websites in NY). I also run my own websites that are growing in the rankings, have lived in 10+ countries, speak Spanish and Czech- and have written/self-published four of my own books totaling 250K words. Everything I do now revolves around English, Technology, the Arts, Business, Coaching, and International Living. Thank you for your time, I hope to meet you soon. Kind regards, Andrew
I was born in Alaska, and raised around the world, but mostly in Hawaii. That's probably why I love living in different countries- the world really is very small. *My father was a self-taught radio and television engineer with international contracts and my mother was a Reading Specialist, finally earning her Doctorate before her death. I have no existing family. Currently, I live in San Antonio, TX, but am ready to travel back to Mexico and South America- then I will be heading to Sardinia, Greece, Albania, Turkey, Georgia, etc... I love sports (surfing/skateboarding- played soccer for many years in Hawaii), martial arts, technology, art (I paint for pleasure), design, music (I've held DJ residencies in 4 countries- even played in front of 2000 artists and Vaclav Havel (former Czech President) and now produce music in Abelton), reading/writing, culture, great food, the Arts and excellent people! :)

I'm very conversational in my approach. That means leading with open questions. I'll take my time in identifying your repetitive mistakes, and then we can address them later. This method allows you to flow within the language, rather than interrupting you constantly- which can really hamper a 'conversation.' Additionally, I offer many 'communication' techniques that can make your efforts much easier for all involved. *As a speaker of Spanish and Czech- I can easily empathize with that frustrating feeling you might experience. :)
