Hello! My name is Rebecca and I'm here to help with your conversational English speaking! I have a deep love for language and words, and I enjoy learning as much as I can about the history and development of the English language. I also love to learn about different countries in the world, especially about their cultures and traditions. So if you'd like to talk to me, I'm looking forward to seeing you!
I live in Derby, in the middle of England, which is the city I was born. I live with my husband and our three cats. My main hobby is sewing, especially embroidery, and I also do a lot of other crafts such as painting. I am a singer, which is a lot of fun - plus it makes you very aware of what mouth shapes and placements make different sounds possible, which is a great help with pronunciation! Also, I enjoy reading tarot cards. I enjoy travel, having visited several countries in Europe (including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Czechia, Croatia, and Iceland), China (Beijing), and many places all over the UK. I learned Russian language when I was at school, although I remember very little of it now!

I am friendly and conversational, and I can mostly help students with gaining confidence in speaking everyday English. I'm also patient and understanding, which means I can work well with students of different levels. Because I have an English degree, I'm also good with explaining technical aspects such as grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structure, and I have a good understanding of colloquialisms, regional dialects, and slang.
