Hello!
Hello. I am an ESL teacher from England, CELTA and degree qualified. Before my teaching career I spent 20 years as a senior manager in several UK businesses. I teach face to face in language schools and also through my online site. I am always interested in new topics and opinions, and enjoy talking to people from around the world.
I have been travelling for work and pleasure for 30 years, and found meeting people and hearing about their lives was the most interesting part of my work. I have always been amazed how many people told me “I can’t speak English” who really meant “I am not confident to use the English that I know”, so I decided to retrain as an English teacher to learn how to help people more effectively.

My focus when teaching is always to encourage my students to do most of the talking. I give people time and space to think, and allow them to improve fluency. I am not scared to correct errors and give clear explanations when needed. Yeah, like everyone else I try to make it fun, but most importantly I try to make it useful.
