Cassandra
Hello!
Hi my name is Cassandra and I have been working as an ESL teacher in Madrid for nearly seven years. I have had students of all different ages and levels, which means I can easily customize the class to meet the needs of each student. I really love having conversations of all types; it is as much of a learning experience for me as it is for them. I have helped my students prepare for exams, presentations, and job interviews in English, but I also like to integrate casual, everyday, conversations in class as well. Improving any level of a foreign language also involves having the confidence, so that is always one of my goals with each person. Over the years, I have seen major improvements with each of my students, which is just as rewarding for me as it is for them. When someone finishes a class with me, I want him/her to feel like they could go out and have another conversation easily.
When I am not in the classroom I like to live a very active life. Whether it is enjoying something that is happening in Madrid, doing some exercise, or going out with friends. I also love travelling and have been to several countries within Europe while living here, and I hope to explore more of the world some day soon. While I do love to always have something going on, there isn't anything wrong with a night at home watching a film or catching up on a series.

Teaching Style
I have a very natural teaching style. I want my students to feel comfortable when speaking English, and not like they are repeating phrases from a coursebook. That being said, I am able to also explain the importance of proper grammar, and when it is necessary to use it. Depending on what the student needs, I am able to change my style of speaking. This includes changing my speed and vocabulary to match the needs of the individual person, whether the student is wanting to be more comfortable in a professional environment, like a meeting, or to have everyday conversation with friends.
