Hello!

Hello there, I'm Mike! 👋😃 I spent the first 40+ years of my life in English-speaking Canada (teaching French among other things), and have been living in France for the past several years (teaching English among other things). Learning a 2nd language (French) allowed me to move 1/2-way around the world and experience a new life. I want to help you open doors for possible life-change as well... let's chat!

When I'm not teaching, you may find me tending to my honeybees (yes, I'm a hobby beekeeper), a chicken or two plus homing pigeons, gardening, tatting (an old fashioned form of lacemaking) or crocheting. When time permits, I'm always up for discovering one of France's many castles!

Often, language learners' 2 biggest fears are (A) making mistakes and (B) speaking with what they consider to be too much of an accent. LET ME BE CLEAR... making mistakes or speaking with an accent only indicates one thing: You're speaking a language that's not your 1st language, nothing more! So... let's just relax, find out what's motivating you to improve, and help you target specific language skills for improvement!
