Shadi
Hello!
Hello, My name is Shardi. I am from the U.K. I have also lived 5 years in France and 7 years in Thailand. I graduated in Manchester, England, and later gained a TEFL so I could teach English as a second language. I have 10 years of teaching experience, which includes working at international schools with American and British curricula, and tutoring online and in language schools. I have taught students from many different countries around the world. My experience extends beyond teaching as I started up two small businesses with a group of partners. One of them was a digital media company and very successful in Thailand and the other was an e-commerce company which I set up in France. I left both positions to now invest in a start-up company again in Thailand. As it is the beginning stage, I have time to work with students helping and guiding them in their careers and studies. It is a passion of mine to help others and share my experience. I have learnt many lessons through challenges and mistakes. It is not easy to succeed in anything and it takes grit, self-motivation and discipline. Along with great communication and interpersonal skills. I specialize in teaching teens to adults, intermediate-proficient levels but in my early twenties I worked with children who were already at intermediate to proficient level. I have some experience in exam preparation and extensive knowledge in copy editing, proof-reading and copy-writing. I can help and guide you in your writing skills around discussion in the class. I look forward to meeting you!
I am a part-time tutor and a mother to a 4-year-old boy. My son is trilingual and can speak English, French, and Thai. My husband is French and I previously lived in the south of France with my family. I enjoy reading, writing, music, self development, theatre, and film. My hobbies include; swimming, bicycle riding, nature walks, and volunteering when I can.

Teaching Style
My style of teaching leans towards the student-centered approach. I like to facilitate learning by encouraging students to ask questions and discuss real-life events so they can relate to the topic and connect to it. I like to adapt my classes to the interest of the student, so they can connect and relate to the topic, while enjoying the discussion and learning new vocabulary to express their opinions and ideas. I have a small group of young students under the age of 18 but I will not be accepting anymore students under the age of 13. This is because my teaching style as it is now and has been for some time; suits better with academics and corporate students who are in professions related to or connected with Business and/or Business Communications.
