Hello! It’s very nice to meet you, my name is Claire. I am 31 years old & I am a Native English speaker. I was born & raised in Southern California, USA. Now residing in the Philippines for two years. While living here in the Philippines, I have gained volunteer experience as a private English tutor to help students improve their pronunciation, accent & practical communication skills in English. I will be able to assist you with your conversational English, by helping you broaden your English vocabulary or helping you practice with pronunciation. Teaching Style
While I am teaching, my main focus is on the student & every individuals needs. I want the student to feel comfortable & be an active participant in their learning experience. Therefore, I would describe my teaching style as flexible. I like to use the Immersion Method for helping students learn & practice speaking English. By having open & engaging conversations, the student will eventually become more confident having everyday conversations in English. I also encourage dictation exercises to strengthen the student's listening skills as well.
