Hello!

Hello! I'm Tyson, a tutor from Seattle, Washington. I recently returned from living in Taiwan for three years and loved the experience of being abroad and connecting with people from different cultures. I've been tutoring on Cambly for over three years and have outside experience of teaching elementary students and assisting adults with disabilities. In my classes, I create a welcoming and supportive environment where students can improve their English and build confidence through casual conversation and engaging activities. I’m passionate about making learning fun, inclusive, and judgment-free for beginners, advanced speakers, neurodivergent learners, LGBTQ+ students, and anyone in between. One of my biggest passions is art! I'm a dancer and painter who loves expressing creativity in many forms. I’ve been dancing for nearly 20 years and enjoy choreographing and teaching modern, contemporary, and ballroom dance. Outside of the arts, I have a deep love for hiking and adventure. I’ve climbed some of the tallest mountains across the USA and Taiwan, and one of my biggest dreams is to visit as many countries as possible. So far, I’ve had the chance to explore China, Brazil, Taiwan, the Philippines, Turkey, Kuwait, Qatar, South Korea, Malaysia, and Japan. Exploring new places, trying different foods, and meeting people from all walks of life brings me so much joy. I can’t wait to learn more about you and what makes you excited to learn!
