Hello!
Hello my name is Genevieve and I am from Canada. I am a native speaker and I have been teaching for 26 years. I have lived in a few different countries around the world and have taught all ages from children to adults the English language. I previously was teaching the Callan Method and have been teaching English as a second language, to many different cultures, some including, Japanese, South Korean, Mexican/Spanish, Colombian/Spanish, Brazilian/Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Belgium and Swiss. I also am a Homestay mom here in my beautiful city of Victoria, BC. Canada. I truly enjoy teaching and learning about my students and their cultures. I look forward to meeting you!
As well as teaching I have also been doing speech therapy to all levels of people who need that little extra or a lot of help with their pronounciation. I have worked in the healthcare industry alongside my teaching profession for many years. I love to travel and learn about new cultures and have great experiences. I really enjoy writing, reading and all kinds of music.

My accent is phonetic and pronounced. I pronounce every letter in my words so it is easy for my students to understand me. I also speak slower so my students can understand me better. I am a gentle but focused educator. I also am considerate, kind and extremely patient. I have a great sense of humor and like to have fun but also very focused on my students learning to read, write and speak English.
