Amanda ***************** Hello I am Amanda, I offer flexible, student-focused English lessons tailored to your goals, with a strong focus on Business English, workplace communication, and interview preparation. I have experience teaching teenagers, young adults, and adult learners from beginner to advanced level (B1–C1), including Business English for professional development. My lessons can help you with: * Job interview preparation and practice * Business communication (emails, meetings, presentations) * Speaking and conversational fluency * Exam preparation and homework support. Alongside teaching, I have many years of experience working as an Operations Manager in the Hospitality industry and as a Human Resources Manager. This background allows me to bring real workplace experience into my lessons, especially when helping students prepare for interviews and professional situations. I also worked as a live-in carer for a period of time, which further developed my communication and people skills, although I later returned to my focus on business and education. In my lessons, you will always have a supportive, relaxed, and confidential environment where mistakes are part of the learning process and help you improve.
I have a lifelong passion for learning and have continued to study throughout my life, whether to change careers or simply for personal interest and enjoyment. Originally from the UK, I moved to Bulgaria a few years ago. Alongside my work as a teacher, I also help manage our smallholding. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and working on home and outbuilding renovations, which allow me to continue developing new practical skills. I am a mother of two grown-up sons. For many years, I balanced life as a single parent with work, study, and running a home, while also working towards improving my career prospects through education. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the challenges adults face when trying to study while managing work and family life. As a result, I am able to build strong rapport quickly with my students and provide supportive, realistic, and encouraging lessons.

I would describe my teaching style as relaxed and supportive, more like a coach than a traditional teacher. I help students achieve their goals by guiding them to set clear, realistic targets and supporting them as they work towards them step by step. While some areas of learning can feel challenging, I aim to create a positive atmosphere and often use humour to help reduce stress and make lessons more enjoyable and engaging.
