Hi there! I'm a professional teacher currently living in the country of Laos, in Southeast Asia. I enjoy reading books, gardening, and playing with my cats. And of course, I love teaching. I have been tutoring with Cambly for three years, and have enjoyed meeting students from around the world. I was born and raised in the United States of America. Over 10 years ago, I started traveling and seeing the world. I have been to eight different countries aside from the USA. I currently live in Laos with my husband (and 3 cats) and work as an English teacher, and part time as a midwife and health worker. I have many hobbies, including reading, cooking, gardening, teaching, traveling, and learning about different cultures. I really enjoy meeting new students here on Cambly, and I look forward to meeting you!

I tend to focus on pronunciation and vocabulary when speaking with students. I do not usually correct grammar mistakes unless they are serious ones. To understand and to be understood are my main goals in teaching.
