Ellie
Hello!
Hi I'm Ellie, from the North of England. I studied French, Spanish and Linguistics at University, and have lived in France and Mexico teaching English to university students. I love my classes to be informal and focused on building confidence in conversation. I also enjoy doing writing skills, such as creative writing. I currently live in Mexico City and teach English as a second language in a University.
I am a passionate and motivated young person eager to spread the importance of bilingualism. I love to share my culture and my enthusiasm with others, as well as learn about other cultures. I have a passion for travelling and learning about each place, culture and language that I visit. I have a long list of places I still wish to visit. I also love the outdoors, and love to go hiking with my puppy. I also love the beach. I am really creative and love to reflect this in my teaching methods. Outside of teaching I do patchwork, card making and silversmithing. My studies have focused on linguistics and language acquisition and my aim is to become a speech and language therapist

Teaching Style
I personally am not a very academic learner, and so struggled learning languages in school as I would find grammar learning to be boring and repetitive. I found that I learnt a lot better through observation and practice. Therefore, my teaching style reflects this. I am a kind and patient tutor who has experience teaching all levels. I prefer my students to learn through active participation and I try to limit the amount of learning through reading.
