Hello, my name is Sharon, and I live in Houston, Texas, in USA. I want you to have fun while learning and improving your English skills. Every lesson will have plenty of time for practicing and improving your English. I personalize your session with me so it relates to your life situation and meets your goals. My goal for every student at any age is to learn and gain confidence when conversing in English at any level. You can do it!
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, which is in the middle of the United States. When I was 24 years old, I moved to Houston, Texas and have lived here for over 40 years. I have visited 38 states of the 48 connected states in the USA, so I have heard many pronunciations of words and speaking styles. From my personal experience, the most noticeable speech differences are on the East coast and the southern states east of Texas starting in Louisiana. I have a daughter and three grandsons that live in Houston as well. I am a published author. A few of my hobbies include writing, painting, reading, movies, history, documentaries, meditation, flowerpot gardening,and people watching. I spent two weeks in Morocco for a wedding and a few friends of the family practiced English with me because I spoke slowly and clearly that they could understand me. My favorite color is red, and my favorite word is "next." I would like to learn about you.

The learning experience will be fun and engaging. So, according to your age and goals, I would tailor the class to your life situation. Once I know where you live and your hobbies, school, career, and interests, I will make it part of the lesson. It is easier to learn when it relates to you personally. Every lesson would include learning new words, checking the pronunciation of words you already know, and the proper sentence structure. You will learn casual and proper conversation, and you will get plenty of practice speaking English. We will track your progress together. As your skills grow, the lessons will change to advance and enhance your English skills. My goal is for you to feel confident when speaking English regardless of your age. You can do it!
