I was raised on an Iowa farm in the United States. Agriculture was the backbone of my professional direction as I pursued financial services as a career. My degree in Agriculture Business and minor in English served me well as I became a lender, an insurance agent, a real estate agent, and a licensed investment agent. Later I put it all together as community bank president. I've always been interested in many things. I learned to fly from bush pilots in Alaska. My love of horses brought me to the last mounted unit in the Army. Taekwondo taught me discipline. Volunteering as a fireman and emergency technician in the communities I served as a banker helped me to grow in ways I never imagined. Now that I am retired, I want to continue growing. My love of flying has evolved into flight simulation, drone videography, and video editing. My background in aviation, fire and rescue helped me in training the first small town drone rescue team in Mexico. As a real estate agent I help people find their homes here in Chapala, Mexico. My training and certification as a TESOL teacher in Quito Ecuador was the gateway to meet adventurous people like you online. Modern technologies have made it possible to interact and grow with people from all around the world. That technology will now bless you and me!

My teaching style is to first learn who you are and how you want to grow in the English language. Our conversations will guide me as to your wants and needs and will also serve as the basis for your growth and confidence in speaking and understanding the English language. The painful part of language learning can be done from a textbook between lessons. I want our interaction to be something you look forward to as a reward for your study.
