Hello Cambly Crusaders! It's nice to meet you. I love to talk about movies, video games, board games, food, business, life in general, and travelling! My name is Justin and I was born and raised in Canada. I am a native English speaker with a CELTA certification currently living in Vietnam. I have traveled to 20 countries so far. I worked as an Occupational Therapist in the USA for many years, and as a Cambridge Science Teacher in Vietnam, so I am very comfortable with speaking. I look forward to connecting with you. Things that most people don't know about me: I enjoyed working in Healthcare for 20 years before pursuing my CELTA and PGCE qualifications! I have volunteered in medical efforts in Haiti and Nepal. I have worked as a professional wedding and family photographer, I play a bit of guitar (usually Smashing Pumpkins), and I have published a photo book on Seattle history.

Our lesson can be as structured as you want it to be. You or I can choose a topic to speak about. It can be any topic that you wish! We can learn through casual conversation, but if you like, I can apply a Speaking lesson framework to our time. This is done by starting with a warm-up task to a topic, asking you related questions designed for you to notice general ideas. Later on, the questions would ask for more specific details designed to engage you in speaking the target language. I will always summarize our conversation with feedback that can be useful to you. This will include points on your pronunciation and grammar. I like to make sure the lesson is always positive-spirited and will point you towards areas you can work on. I hope you will find that receiving feedback on these points will help you reach your goals!
