Rachelle
Hello!
Good Day! My name is Rachelle and I am happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself. I began teaching ESL online approximately three years ago. I wanted the opportunity to help others learn English as I had just began my journey to learn my second language - French. I realized through my own experiences that learning a second language is more than just learning grammar and syntax, but also learning from one another and understanding the background of languages and culture. Communication is one of the most important skills we can work on. The ability to share experiences, to be heard, to be understood is critical for growth. I also understand how scary and intimidating it can be to speak in a new language. I will always strife to create a safe, comfortable, and fun space for you to learn!
I love to spend my free time outside in nature. I hike, kayak, canoe, snowshoe, and cross country ski. I love to read great books and meet new people.

Teaching Style
I believe in adapting my teaching style to reflect the needs of the student. It is important to understanding what a student wants from their learning and to provide an experience that meets those needs. There are a number of tools you can use when teaching ESL that support the learning outcomes. These include Total Physical Response (TPR), props, games, grammar exercises. Making a class fun for a student by finding how they work best, will result in excellent learning outcomes.
