Hello! PLEASE NOTE: With summer approaching, my kids will be playing a considerable amount of sports, and their schedules will be very busy. It can be a little bit of a whirlwind with having the kids playing sports (along with trying to schedule airfare, rental cars, and hotel). In addition, I will need to take my youngest son to and from football practices, so my schedule may look a little different. Further, there may also be days that I will need to cancel and/or reschedule our lesson(s). Finally, I will be on a Hawaiian vacation from the end of June through the middle of July. I apologize, in advance, for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your understanding in this regard! My name is Teacher Alysha, and I live in the U.S.A. I am a fun, loving, and caring certified teacher (TEFL and TESOL), with several years of experience teaching English to my students. I love to smile and be kind to everyone I encounter. I adore my family and friends. I enjoy teaching children and I strive to encourage students to always do their best. It is important for my students to enjoy learning and to have fun. I am an enthusiastic teacher! I have studied abroad in Mexico and understand the challenges associated with learning a second language. I am a certified (TEFL and TESOL) English teacher with many years of experience, in the classroom as well as ESL/ELL online via several online platforms. I have taught over 1,000 students. I am also a mother, and I am fond of playing sports. I enjoy skiing, swimming, bike riding, and playing basketball. I love to be outdoors. Previously, I coached both basketball and volleyball. I have a teaching style of: I do, we do, you do. I also teach with TPR (total physical response). I encourage my students to participate and to have fun while learning. Learning should always be fun. I am also a very supportive and kind teacher. In addition, I enjoy singing with my students and having a lot of fun. If you do not want to sing, then please do not take my class. If you don't want to listen and be respectful, please do not take my class. If you are traveling in a vehicle or at a restaurant, leaving your camera off, please do not take my class. In addition, if you like turning your mic and camera on and off during class, please do not take my class. Turning your mic and camera off during class is very distracting and disrespectful. Please be kind in my classroom. Thank you for your understanding in this regard. Furthermore, I encourage a lot of free talk and/or dialogue in my classroom because without free talk or dialogue, it is almost impossible to become a fluent speaker. I truly believe that dialogue and/or immersing oneself in the culture is the only way to become a fluent English speaker. In addition, it is proven that students lose their attention within three (3) to four (4) minutes, therefore, I will try to change up what we are doing by either showing a video, singing a song, or encouraging free talk. Finally, I strive to encourage my students to listen intently and to be respectful.
