Hello!

Hello! I am Matthew from England. I went to school in England and also America and I am familiar with both British and American English. I lived in Malaysia and Thailand for a total of 17 years and I am aware of the problems that non-native speakers face when learning English conversation and the need for patient, clearly spoken teachers. I have refined my speech over that 17 year period to make myself as easily understood as possible. I have received many compliments on my clear speech so I hope you agree! I have two years of English speaking experience, teaching both adults and children of many ages and abilities. In my spare time I study quite a few subjects including: HISTORY with a focus on military history, AVIATION (military and civil), GARDENING (all types but especially houseplants and tropicals) TRAVEL, GLOBAL POLITICS, and NATURE. I also like a good conversation about COOKING and FOOD. I hope to see you soon.

I have lived in five different countries. I have worked for private companies and UK government service. My father was in the military (airforce) so I used to move school every 1-2 years. I attended 8 different schools during my education so I really know what being the new person at school feels like!
