Hello!
I’m Ruth, a British teacher now living in Mexico. I’ve been teaching English for twenty years to students of different ages and from many different countries and I have experience teaching at all levels of English, from beginners to advanced. I’ve also prepared students for Cambridge and TOEFL exams. I have a bachelor's degree from the UK and the Cambridge Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults. Of course I have a British accent, which my students find quite clear and easy to understand. I specialize in helping my students communicate effectively in English, while also focusing on specific language points. I am very patient and help students to feel comfortable and confident with English, encouraging them to speak without fear of making mistakes. I love to use dynamic and engaging activities in my classes, with a focus on real communication and relevance to the students. So, if you want to improve your English skills, I can help you! I'm from England originally, but now I live in Mexico. I have two children and so most of my spare time I spend with them! I love Mexican food and enjoy traveling to new places when I get the opportunity. My hobbies are art journaling, painting, yoga, and personal development. What I love about teaching is being able to meet and interact with so many different students from all over the world and really help them to make progress towards their English learning goals.

I have a friendly and relaxed teaching style and I like to make students feel at ease so that they can talk as freely as possible. I think it's important to use interesting and dynamic activities that are relevant to students' lives and interests, while also focusing on the specific grammar, vocabulary or language skill that they need to learn and reinforce.
