Hello, I am Mika Govender. I am originally from South Africa but currently residing in Cambodia. I am outgoing and friendly and love talking to people. I enjoy listening to all genres of music and love watching series. I enjoy learning new things so if you'd like to talk about a topic I am unfamiliar with, I will personally do research on that topic so that we are able to engage in a conversation. 😊
I hold a TESOL/TEFL Certificate. I have completed 40 credits of TESOL courses at UCLAN before transferring to a university in America where I studied psychology. In America, I worked as an office assistant which required me to converse with international students while holding quarterly webinars for transfer students. In most, if not all, aspects of my life, I am required to converse with others and concisely express myself. I believe I am more than qualified to pass these skills on to my students.

I will focus primarily on conversational English while correcting any grammar mistakes along the way. Since I have lived in multiple countries, I believe I have the skills to teach colloquial English as well. My lessons are based purely on what the student's needs are and students will be able to direct the conversation. I will slightly guide the conversation if need be, but ultimately, the student is in control. (I do not teach young children. Please go to CamblyKids :))
