Originally from North America, I've traveled many places in Europe and the Middle East, as well as some places in Africa and Asia. I enjoy cooking and listening to jazz, biking when the weather is nice, and I sing in a choir. I'm an advocate of equality in all ways, and promote the rights of those who have been marginalized in the past, and still are in many places today.

I use questions to prompt a conversation, and I try early on in a lesson to learn what my students' interests and needs are so I don't waste their valuable time! :-) I have learned over 30 years as an educator to be flexible and adaptable as the situation requires, so in a lesson I will often try a variety of approaches in order to make sure that it is meaningful for the student.
