Hello!
Hi Cambly students, teaching is my passion. I live in South Africa and have been an online English tutor for 7 years. My students tell me I am fun, patient, kind, understanding, and knowledgeable in so many different areas of life. I love to teach English using an interactive and personalized approach. This means that for each student the class will be tailored to meet their needs. My outgoing personality means that there will never be a boring moment. If I am out and about, you will be out and about with me. I will offer you as many real-life scenarios as I can. I believe in an integrative learning experience so if we are learning about family, you will meet mine if they are around and get the chance to practice your introductory skills with them. If we are learning about the garden, plants, or trees, we will go into my garden so you can see the real things. If we are learning about rooms in the home, I will take you around my house and you will have the opportunity to identify the spaces we are learning about. My aim is for each student to look forward to each class, enjoy the learning experience, and gain the ability to speak English with confidence. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to my classroom.
My experiences of being a counselor, self-esteem facilitator, working in the hospitality industry, and being a mother to 4 children have helped me to become the dedicated, understanding, and fun-loving teacher that I am. I love meeting people and going on new adventures. One of my greatest adventures was living on a farm for 5 years without any electricity, in a wooden home, we built as a family. Life was about outdoor experiences, camping in tents for 3 months of the year, and having 4 baby cows, 2 sheep, and a pig as our pets. My four amazing kids and my husband are my inspiration. They have been the ones who have made me do and try many crazy things some of which were not too successful like skateboarding, motorbiking, or being an influencer. I love being creative and believe in bringing creativity into the classroom.

My teaching style is interactive and integrative. I believe in a relaxed classroom atmosphere where the focus is on speaking skills, pronunciation, grammar, and being able to communicate with confidence. I work well with beginner to intermediate students.
