Hi! My name is Erika (pronounced EH-r-ih-k-uh.) I live in Michigan. I have experience as a literacy tutor working with elementary students in person and online. I went to the University of Michigan for my Bachelor’s in psychology. As a tutor I help students gain confidence with reading, writing, and comprehension.
My name is Erika and I am from the United States. I live in the state of Michigan which is famous for the Great Lakes. I love going to the beach and swimming. I love traveling all over the country and camping.I love talking about food and traveling. I want to hear about your favorite traditional dishes and comfort food in your country! I love traveling across the United States and camping! I have experience as a reading tutor with America Reads and Beyond Basics helping elementary students with reading, writing, and comprehension. I am very calm and patient while also being encouraging. I want everyone to build their confidence in English and feel free to express themselves. I want my students not to be afraid to make mistakes because that is how we learn and improve! I try to be expressive and use body language to help with engagement and comprehension. I try not to do too many corrections so that you feel comfortable talking! I love using the chat function when you do not know how to say something and then you can go back and look in your chats for reference.
