Alistair
Hello!
Hello everyone, I'm Alistair. I was born in Melbourne, Australia but I grew up in Stockport, United Kingdom. I have been a teacher for about 8 years now, but before this I used to volunteer, teaching refugees English in Leeds, United Kingdom. I also used to casually help people from all over the world with English in language exchanges. I have a deep interest in language learning, and I have been able to study languages like Vietnamese and Spanish. I am also trying to learn some Japanese at this time. Our sessions would be somewhat spontaneous: as we explore different topics, I'll introduce new phrases, ideas, etc. As we go through a session, I will keep track of your errors and look for certain patterns. We'll also discuss how you can fix these errors and patterns so you can communicate more fluently and naturally in English. Thank you very much for watching my video.
* Currently in South East Asia. * Love all kinds of food, especially cake! * Enjoy writing, reading, taking long walks and spending time with friends.

Teaching Style
I focus mostly on fixing pronunciation issues and supporting students with fluency, though I also help with grammar instruction where necessary. While students are speaking, I will record mispronunciations and errors to discuss towards the end of the session. This is to make sure students don't get interrupted and they have the chance to develop confidence in speaking.
