Hello!
Hello my name is Teacher Sally. I am 56 years old and come from South Africa. I have been teaching English for four years now. I am qualified in Business Development and Sales Management for over 20 years in the oil and gas sector as well as the telecom sector. I have always been passionate about teaching the universal language of English but due to family commitments I had to put my dream on hold. I finally too a leap to change my career path when my two adult girls left home to emigrate to a new country. I started studying the TESOL/TEFL online course which I completed and attained the certificate. I took up teaching underprivileged children and adults in Nigeria for the last four years and it has been the most rewarding and fulfilling career seeing their faces light up when they understand a passage in a story and is able to recite it back. I make sure that every class is fun and meaningful for children and adults. I love baking and cooking, some say I should change my career path to being a chef, so my free time is taken up catering for small intimate home dinner parties. I love going to the gym especially my dance classes. When it comes to my teaching style, I take a student-centre approach and I make sure that my students never get bored of learning English. I can be fun and animated with my younger learners and for the adult students, I am like a friend helping you achieve your learning goals. I share practical tips and advice to keep you motivated as you improve your English proficiency. I guarantee that my classroom is a great place to be learning English and will always be excited and memorable.
I am at a age where I want to enjoy helping other adults and children learn the universal language of English and have some fun with it. I want to make my chats interesting and also perhaps learn something from my students too. Try me you would be pleasantly surprised. I am a mature female with patience and time on my hands to fully immerse myself into this line of work. Teaching online will be like travelling around the world while we get to know each other and places we live in. I have travelled to almost 20 countries and have some pretty interesting stories to share. I love baking and cooking (most say it’s where my passion lies) so perhaps that would be my next one to achieve. I can also share some yummy recipes with you perhaps even have a cooking intro. Another hobby of mine is painting and that has become my ME time of which most of my paintings I gift to my young learners when they have reached their goals

I believe that you have enrolled into a class to get to your end goal and I am there to make sure you do. I will have every lesson planned and we will have discussions, debates and exciting talking too. I am very expressive when teaching so hand gestures would be a must for both of us. I have worked with both adults and children so I do not have a preference. I am patient as well as fun to talk to and I can’t wait for us to get know each other
