Hello! My name is Teacher Thomas, and I’m excited to help you reach your goal of becoming a fluent English speaker! One of my strengths is my ability to motivate my students. I’ve lived in several different countries, so I understand how difficult it can be to learn a second language. I’ve been a student of Spanish for several years, which has given me first hand experience with the challenges of learning a foreign language. I use positive reinforcement, repetition, and fun to help my students succeed. After each class, I’ll provide detailed feedback to help you understand which areas you should focus on to improve your skills. I have over 6 years of English teaching experience, both online and in person, as well as 12+ years of experience teaching financial literacy to the clients of several large American banks and brokerage firms. In addition, I hold a 120-hour TEFL Master Certificate and a 40-hour specialization certificate in teaching Business English. After teaching English for over six years - online as well as in the cIassroom - I can quickly identify the areas where my students need the most improvement. These areas could range from perfecting grammar techniques, improving sentence structure or simply bettering their conversational skills. In addition, working as a financial adviser and banker in the United States for twelve years makes me uniquely qualified to teach business and economics to students wanting to enhance their careers and earnings potential.
