Teaching Style
I would describe my teaching style as guiding and coaching. When I am teaching my focus is on the student. I like them to speak as much as possible and actively participate in the class. Each student is an individual with different strengths and I like to use these to help them make progress. I correct errors and give feedback but in a way that is constructive and also respectful. I let the student choose from a range of topics. This way I'm able to engage them and start with topics they feel are relevant to them. I use a multimedia approach to language learning to help them mainly improve their listening and speaking skills along with some interview and presentation role-play activities. I design interesting lesson plans not only to help with speaking but also to improve grammar and listening ability. I also like to teach students English idioms and high-frequency use phrases.
