Saskia
Hello!
Hello. I am a Bioveterinary Science Graduate (2022) and am now a final year veterinary medicine student. I have spent my childhood living abroad, including the Netherlands, New Zealand and Texas and so understand the importance of overcoming language barriers to fully engage with other cultures! Outside of studying, I love exploring nature on my bike, experimenting with cooking and improving my Spanish.
I am currently studying my degree in Veterinary Medicine which is a goal I have been working towards for as long as I can remember! I am passionate about animals, the environment and science so it definitely seemed like a logical choice and always something that I am happy to talk about. I spent the first sixteen years of my life living abroad in the Netherlands, New Zealand and Texas, before moving to the UK and this has definitely nurtured a love of travel and learning about different cultures. Being homeschooled during most of my school years, I have been able to develop many hobbies such as Irish dancing and horse riding. I have been Irish dancing for about thirteen years with Ceili being my favourite. Horse riding for about eight years, I have been fortunate enough to be able to train two horses for a riding school, including an ex-race horse which was incredible! I have also been able to instruct group beginner classes where I loved seeing the students confidently progress in their knowledge and passion for horses.

Teaching Style
I work well with intermediate to advanced students, however have taught a range of levels and love seeing students progress. My aim is for you to feel as confident and enthusiastic to engage in the sessions as possible so am therefore, very willing to be creative in my approach to ensure you get the most out of each session! As a veterinary medicine student, I also have a passion for science and am therefore very happy for students to utilise their lessons learning about more specific topics such as primary, middle and high school science, animals and medicine. I always try to cater to your learning style by utilising a variety of resources such as workbooks and stories and will always work to share my learning enthusiasm, by adapting lessons so they are tailored to your interests and requirements. With this in mind, if there is a particular topic or skill that you would like to learn about, please feel free to let me know prior to the lesson and I can prepare some relevant supporting resources. I am committed to cater to your aims, whether that is to immerse yourself in the English language and culture, or prepare for specific achievements.
