Catherine
Hello!
*Please note, I only teach intermediate and advanced students.* **If you can't come to a lesson, please cancel it beforehand and try to let me know if possible.** Hello. I'm Catherine Ellis and I'm from England. I am here to help you improve your English, as well as your confidence in speaking it. I've taught children, teenagers and adults. I prefer teaching intermediate and advanced students, and older children rather than very young ones. I enjoy helping people learn to love speaking English, and watching their progress as they overcome their weaknesses. I'm very patient, but also flexible to an individual's needs. I understand the joy, but also the frustration of learning a new language as I learned Spanish, and am here to help you navigate that journey. If you have specific needs or resources you would like to use, please do let me know.
I understand the importance of clear and precise English and also have a TEFL teaching certificate.

Teaching Style
My style will usually depend on the student and their needs, but I focus mostly on conversation and helping with general communication and confidence. The most important things for you to know are that I am patient, and also that I will always try to keep the interaction engaging so that you're learning without the experience being stressful or boring!
