As well as being an English teacher I am also a language student so I fully understand the challenges and joys that come with learning a language. I am conversational in Spanish and working towards fluency.

I focus on expanding vocabulary, keeping things simple and achieving fluency by keeping the conversation flowing. I will correct any mistakes and I ask my students to repeat what I have said and continue, without apologising or worrying about the correction. Learning a language is about practise and communication is the most important thing, perfection comes later through practise and confidence once the foundation has been set.
