Hello!
Hello I’m British. I was born and raised in London. I’m a native English speaker. I have a CELTA and a CELTYL. I taught for about four years in Vietnam and also for three academic years in Saudi Arabia in various locations including Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah. In Vietnam I taught students of various different ages, from six year olds to adults and I taught at various different levels from elementary up to an IELTS foundation course. I have also done level testing for prospective students. The three years that I spent in Saudi Arabia were engaged in teaching English to young adult Saudi males, preparing them for jobs, or for further education. I have taught at various different levels from A0 and elementary up to B2. I like teaching. I find it stimulating and rewarding.
I’m 57 years old. I'm British, but I live in France. I’ve lived in France for more than 4 years. I'm trying to improve my French. My French is ok, but could be a lot better. So I understand how difficult it can be to learn a language - the grammar and pronunciation etc For sports, I like swimming and cycling. In my free time, I like to read books and I enjoy watching films. I watch a lot of videos on YouTube also. I also occasionally do some writing and I've just started to do some painting. I want to do more. I like cooking and, of course, I like eating good food. I prefer the countryside to city life, but visiting cities is great sometimes.

Teaching Style
On CAMBLY, I focus on Grammar / natural sounding English / Pronunciation. I believe that Grammar is very important as it forms the structure of a language. I believe that practice is important especially with speaking. Speaking is probably the hardest of the skills to learn, so there should be a lot of emphasis on that. Listening is also very important. The more that you listen, the more language you will absorb and then, at some time in the future, you should be able to produce better language.
