Hello! I am Maria. I live in Connecticut (CT), USA. I am a Pro Tutor who is eager to work with both Pro and Classic Cambly and students. I also welcome children who enjoy reading, and are able to understand me and respond to me. I am usually available Monday-Friday. Simply, send me a message saying: “Please send me your schedule.” In the past, I have taught music, youth ministry, and martial arts to students of all ages. I have worked as a substitute teacher in the public school system in the USA teaching pre-school age up to the 12th grade for any subject area, as well as to students with special needs. I have briefly studied French, Spanish and German. I know how hard it can be to learn and sustain a new language. I am here to help and guide you with enthusiasm and gentleness. Let’s get started. I have experience in many career fields. I am certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, with specialty courses in Teaching English Online and Teaching English to Young Learners. In the past, I worked as a nurse. I have taught youth in a variety of forums including religious education, youth ministry, and the American public school system. In my free time, my husband and I lead a book club. I enjoy baking, watching movies and hiking. I have lived in 6 states of the USA and visited 47 of the 50 states. I have also lived in Mexico and Austria, and spent much time with my husband's family in northwestern France.
