Hello!
Hello everyone! My name is Sarah. I’m a fully qualified TEFL teacher with online and in-person teaching experience. I was born and brought up in London and I now live in the beautiful countryside in Wales with my husband. I speak English with a British accent. I work with students of all levels, and I’m happy to help you with IELTS speaking exam preparation. I especially enjoy helping students develop a natural, conversational style which enhances their English proficiency.
When I’m not teaching English, I enjoy gardening (especially growing vegetables), cooking and walking in the Welsh countryside. I’m also learning Hindi, so I know what it’s like to immerse yourself in a different language and culture! I am interested in religion and spirituality and I love to learn about different cultures and beliefs. I used to work as a professional astrologer and taught astrology on line for over ten years. I enjoy many different types of music, ranging from rock to acoustic to Bollywood! I enjoy travel and have especially enjoyed my four trips to India. I love meeting new people from around the world and I’m looking forward to meeting you soon!

I love teaching English and I aim to match my teaching style to your needs so that our time together can be as useful for you as possible. I can help you with all aspects of English language learning, from increasing your vocabulary and developing your listening and conversation skills, to improving your grammar or pronunciation and increasing your confidence when speaking English. I’m a flexible teacher and plan my lessons according to the needs of my individual students, so we can focus on whatever is most important for you right now. Whilst I work with students at all levels, I also specialise in working with intermediate level and higher students to improve their understanding and use of natural English – which can be very different to the English you learn on courses and from textbooks! We all know that learning a language can be challenging, but it should also be fun, so I like to keep my lessons interesting and enjoyable. I believe we definitely learn better when we can relax and feel safe to try things out and make mistakes, so don’t worry about making mistakes in our classes – I’m here to help you learn from them!
