Hello!
Hi! My name is Kimiko and I am originally from the U.S. I have a very diverse background in the hospitality industry but my true passion is traveling internationally and learning about new cultures. In fact, I began my teaching journey in China, where I lived for 3 years. In my class, I aim to be a valuable resource for my students and enjoy discussing a variety of topics. So if your someone who's interested in music, food, travel and movies- you may find my class enjoyable.
Hi again! In addition to my passion for helping others along their English learning journey, I love spending time with my family and traveling the world. I grew up in New York City and was exposed to many cultures every single day. I look forward to meeting new people each day and teaching has been a great way for me to do so. Hope to meet you soon!

Teaching Style
My goal as a teacher is to expose English learners to more of the world and prepare them for intercultural communication. I am willing to be creative and find learning styles to help all students benefit from my lessons. I believe it is important to create a genuine rapport with learners. My students can expect a safe environment where they can learn naturally (Direct Method) through listening and speaking. For my younger learners, I believe it's important to use the TPR method, which allows for more movement and expression, which I find that children love and respond best to.
