iain
Hello!
Hello, my name is iain and I have been a qualified English teacher for 20 years. I have an honours degree in Business and also have experience working in the finance sector. My favourite drink is coffee and I have also owned and managed a coffee shop. I have travelled, lived and worked in many different countries and enjoy meeting people from diverse countries and backgrounds. I enjoy sports and music. I am a positive, patient and enthusiastic teacher and love to help students of all levels improve their skills and confidence in English.
When not teaching English I like to run, cycle, camp and walk in the beautiful Scottish countryside. I was born in the capital city Edinburgh and I now live very close to the town of St Andrews which has a very old University and is where the game of golf started. I enjoy listening to music and have recently started to play the guitar. Apart from teaching my most recent job was when I owned a cafe. I have a Business degree from the University of Edinburgh and worked for 12 years at a financial statistics company in Edinburgh.

Teaching Style
I have been teaching English for 20 years and like to create an informal and supportive atmosphere in my classes in order to give my students the confidence to speak English and not worry about making mistakes. I have experience teaching both adults and juniors and welcome all ages and ability levels to my classes. Having travelled, worked and lived in many different countries I am able to connect with and tailor my classes to a wide range of students. I am a patient and knowledgeable teacher. Classes with me will be informative but also, most importantly fun too. I look forward to meeting you soon.
